Andrew's Church Nursery Adventures

Andrew has recently begun spending some time in our church nursery.

Andrew is one of the youngest, if not the youngest, babies in his room. The children are so funny. When it is time for parents to drop off, they begin moving towards the door. We don't have any walkers in the room, so they are on all fours making a slow exodus to the exit and, of course, freedom! So, first, when you drop off you have to avoid stepping on any of them.

Once we make it into the room and put Andrew down, there is a new movement. Check out the new kid! You can almost hear their thoughts... I wonder if he has a pacifier I could borrow. Did he bring any food? What about toys? or at least a blanket? Touch him. He typically stays out of reach, but today one of his little buddies got him - right in the eye with a sharp little fingernail. (I'm sure because those parents hate clipping itty bitty little nails as much as we do!) Daddy picked him up and received the news. Fortunately, the little attacker had already left for home!

It's sort of fun to be on the receiving end of a little abuse, because if he is anything like his brothers he'll be running them over and taking names before we know it!
